I have over 15 years of professional experience spanning the public and private sector. I have served in the Military, supported government agencies, and consulted for some of the largest companies in the world, and solved critical security problems for businesses of all sizes. I have proudly served as an Airman and Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force and as an Officer in the U.S. Navy Reserves. I have worked at the corporate executive level as a Chief Information Security Officer and been a technical consultant designing and implementing cybersecurity programs for Fortune 500 companies spanning the Financial Services, Retail, and Healthcare industries.
I was also Edward Snowden's boss. While much has been written and spoken about regarding the actions and impact of Edward Snowden, personal first-hand accounts are limited. I was closely involved with Ed during his short time at Booz Allen Hamilton, the search for him when he went missing, and sorting through the aftermath and consequences ... both professionally and personally.
Over the past three+ years I have shared my experiences with colleagues, clients, and groups. I have shared them privately and publicly. Many times people have encouraged me to get my story out and use it to not only add to the historical "body of knowledge" and correct inaccuracies, but to help others learn the lessons I have learned from the experience.
This encouragement and my subsequent collaboration with motivated me to start this site and to share my experiences and expertise further. I welcome you to take a few moments and explore the services I offer, read some of my writings, and learn more about Edward Snowden.
