Leading You Through Crisis

Keynote Speaker, Writer, & Consultant

June 9th, 2013

My missing employee, Edward Snowden, revealed himself to be the person

behind the Top Secret NSA leaks that rocked the country in the preceeding

days. I felt my life came tumbling down around me. My worst day had come.

I had to act - I had to lead.

Keynotes, Presentations, Trainings, & Seminar Topics

Edward Snowden was the man behind one of the USA's largest and most impactful data leaks. He is a controversial figure across the globe. I served as his boss at the time of his disappearance. Hear my inside story and the professional and personal lessons we can learn.

As a highly experienced cybersecurity professional, having worked across the public and private sectors, and performed intelligence, IR, and CISO roles, I have a unique view of the cyber domain and expert knowledge of the global cyber threats.

Edward Snowden is the poster child of the insider threat, but not all insiders have malicous intent. The threat is every employee you have from your trusted to departing to disgruntled. Such threats pose a data loss, financial, physical, and reputational risk.

My worst day was June 9th, 2013; the day Edward Snowden revealed himself to the world as the man behind the NSA leaks. The lessons I learned from this experience and via a career of engaging in and studying data breaches, insider threats, and other crises are invaluable.
